Expertise
Some documents require formal training and/or experience. Notaries in shipping centers and or banks may not be certified to handle loan closing documents. Some title companies you may work with may require a signing agent to ensure we have the proper insurance, background checks, and follow certain security requirements. I am attend ongoing trainings to ensure I am not only an expert in my field but that I am adhering to all best practices in the industry.
Atmosphere
Stores and banks generally work as quickly as possible due to customers who may be waiting for help. If you need additional support to get the notarization performed (such as credible witnesses or signature by mark) they may not offer that service and worse yet they may not be familiar with how to go about doing that. I go out of my way to ensure your documents are notarized properly and give you time so you don’t feel rushed.
Convenience
Your time is valuable and you want to make sure you can get your documents signed at exactly the time you expect and without hassles. Banks and retail stores don’t always have a notary on site and it’s frustrating to find that out after you get there. Instead, Travis will come to you at the agreed upon time and make the whole process smooth and easy.
Confidence
Nobody wants to hire someone who does the bare minimum or knows just enough to get by. That’s why I am always learning about laws that affect notarizations in Minnesota and it’s why I go above and beyond in keeping a detailed notary journal. In my experience I have seen over 90% of notaries in Minnesota don’t keep a notary journal. I keep one and I document my assignments thoroughly because I want you to have confidence if your notarized document gets challenged someday.
Privacy
Your documents are sensitive and require an environment of confidentiality. Stores and banks that offer notarizations do not tend to have that environment available. Your documents may disclose family or personal matters, financial or property records and you want to keep that information to yourself.
Odd Hours
Most stores and banks are closed by 5:30pm during the week, and have limited hours on weekends and holidays. Mobile notaries keep extended hours of service and can assist you evenings, weekends, and holidays. I am happy to help at all times of day when possible and I make it easy for you to schedule your appointment.
Inability To Travel
Perhaps you don’t have transportation, are in the hospital, or for some other reason cannot travel to get a notarization–you need a commissioned notary to come to you, where you need the service provided.

Additional Services
I go out of my way to provide you with as many services as you may need to not only get your documents notarized but to make sure they get to where you need them to go. This means I may be able to deliver your documents directly to an attorney or escrow officer or package and ship the documents for you. Perhaps you have multiple people who need to sign a document on the same day and appear before they same notary on that day…I can help with that by taking the documents to multiple signers as needed.
